   I deeply apologize to Esther, Olga and Eduardo for all the terrible things I said about them .I recently discovered evidence that told me all the things they said about David Israel and Ed Black were true. I cannot tell you how sorry I am that I did not take the time to look in this matter sooner.
   I hope the all powerful one above will forgive me as well.
   I have recently become a born again Christian as a result of this enlightenment.

Joy Vestal advises vandals to destroy a campaign banner. 
Joy does not advise ANYONE to destroy anything. She put a small story that she remembered and it was amusing. It showed how a sign that people see everyday is ignored and how a kid's prank turned out to bring the message across. It's even funnier when someone can twist it into a call for vandalism. 

 Joy Vestal and Myron Silverman, co-editors say it’s important for all residents to learn about the issues in the up-coming  UCO elections yet they refuse to print articles and letters from candidates who oppose David Israel.  – individuals with opposing views are being forced to pay for their own ads.

Again, twisting the facts. All the officers regularly have a monthly column. If they decide to place defamatory or political attacks, they too must pay for ads. 

Pat Sealander complains about Century Village becoming a slum because of a campaign banner advertising a candidate for UCO President, but I don’t hear her complaining about the dog shit on the perimeter walkways. 

 A huge banner hanging outside a window looks tacky. I am sure she will say something about my sign, as she tried before, but I have a sign INSIDE my place.
It's not on the outside looking like a giant billboard. 

 Anitra Kraus, a person who is a renter is given more space in the Reporter than an owner who has been living here more than 20 years.

Asked and answered, Bob. No one is getting rid of any volunteers; rather there will be far more appreciation and a more pleasant atmosphere in UCO for them. We invite all volunteers to continue their highly valued service to the Village in which they live.

Apparently Olga is not aware of Esther's comment and wants to get rid of Renter Volunteers. Some of these renters do more for the village in a day than Olga does in weeks, possibly months. 
Anitra is given space on the paper because she has a regular column focusing on WiFi and computers. She has expertise on the subject of computers and volunteers that expertise for the benefit of UCO and the Reporter. Can Olga take her place? I think not, so she should shut up.

 Eva Rachesky states categorically that she was not coerced by David Israel into banning Political rallies at the pools. “It’s not recreational,”  she claims. She said she upheld that policy in Deerfield Beach and continued it here. Well, maybe it’s time we ban her from century Village – she’s not recreational either.  

Now she wants to ban Eva from the Village... Eva has done a fantastic job and for Olga to make such a STUPID comment, well, IT IS Olga... 

 The Reporter states that it does not print anonymous letters, yet they printed an anonymous letter which only they thought was funny.   - I’m not laughing

I thought is was funny and made a valid point.

Is Renting now a crime in the village?

Six questions, six times the name David appears. Looks like an obsession. Each question beginning with "What do you think about David..." 

Olga's obsession has been out of hand for a long time now. Her threats, her actions, her demeanor, her ravings show the ramblings of a sick mind. Now she attacks another VOLUNTEER who's "crime" is being a renter. How small can she get? Now she is saying that a renter has no right to work in UCO? Obviously she needs to learn to read. 

Renters have rights too. If they are renting, they have the rights to all common grounds.

She would turn away a qualified volunteer?  IS THIS WHAT WE SHOULD EXPECT IF SHE EVER GETS IN OFFICE? Then I not only say no, I say HELL NO! Keep OLGA out of office.

It's bad enough that she and her friends disrupt Delegate Assembly Meeting on a regular basis, must we have to listen to her insensate rambling throughout EVERY  meeting, committee and during daily business at UCO? She obviously thinks that she is the only person in the village that knows anything. When she awakens from her dreamworld, she is in for one hell of a surprise. She doesn't know everything except how to be a narcissist.

If she gets her way, the only people in UCO will be her small group of "friends" that are after putting the village back into the sixties.

If you receive a call from someone claiming to be from Publisher's Clearing House saying THAT YOU HAVE AN UNCLAIMED PRIZE AWAITING YOU...IT IS A SCAM.
They are saying that they have a certified check for a large amount of money and a Mercedes in you choice of color. They are claiming to be calling from Jamaica or Las Vegas or where ever...One of the numbers they call from is 876-432-0838 and the person on this line claims to be named Peterson.
Do not fall for this. This person called a friend of mine, who asked me to check it out. I called the number (blocking my number from their caller ID) and made up a name and said it was my sister that had received the call...they went on and on about the check for over a million and a Mercedes Benz that they wanted to deliver etc. they are trying to get info, or money and steal your ID.

Upcoming recall

Once again, Olga rears her ugly head and spews garbage. Now she is complaining about the upcoming recall of Dorothy Tetro. Olga says "Her crime was to sell her apartment, purchase a home in Cypress Lakes and purchase another one in Century Village with her inamorata." 

Well of course, but of course Olga twists it slightly to deceive. She fails to mention, she sold her place, and was added to "her inamorata's" property in November of 2012, then taken off that same property a month later, then added a second time in April of 2013, so let's see... that's December, January, February, March, and April... four or five months depending on how you look at it, that Dorothy DID NOT OWN OR LIVE IN CENTURY VILLAGE!!! A clear violation of the current by laws for a UCO officer that is required to be domiciled in the village for NINE months of the year. 

This of course does not count whatever time there was between the time she sold her place and the time her "inamorata" placed her on his property that they may own but do not live in. Sure they may say they live there, they can park a car there every night, but they do not stay there nine months of the year. They are not fooling anyone but the fools that ignorantly say, Oh, she lives there... 

Yes Olga, it is perfectly legal to own as many properties as you can afford, but when you live in one and only have the other to try to deceive people in order to keep a non-paying job handling millions, makes it a bit suspicious, especially when suspicion is being placed on others by you and your brood... (now I have Elvis singing Suspicious lies reeling in my head...LOL)

As for not running next year, it is because she is not eligible.

Pot calls the kettle black....

The "other" blog is ridiculously calling Dave's blog out on "banning" people from posting. Is that the pot calling the kettle black, or what? How can they criticize his blog when THEY do the exact same thing? I have been banned by Olga from posting on their blog.
On this blog, anyone can post as long as the rules are adhered to. Post your name, anonymous postings (which are usually made by people that desire to make cowardly and insulting remarks without getting themselves in trouble). If you have something to say that is worth saying, then you should take the credit for it, not hide behind "anonymous". So I will not allow it to be posted unless it is something fairly profound and in the intention of this blog. You want to make insulting remarks, go to Olga and Gary's blog where it belongs.
Dave's blog has a limited amount of people in the first part (of one hundred members) so he started the second part and it is linked to the first. If they want to post, why not sign up on that one?
 But if they do, they have nothing to complain about. Kinda makes you go Hmmmmmm.

Running amok: the story of an association

What can be done when an association runs amok?
According to Tallahassee, not really too much. Complaints lodged against an association raised more questions than answers.
Questions like, What are our taxes paying for if they do not regulate Condos like they should? Why have Statutes that aren't enforced? What can be done to protect  condo and homeowners from Associations that run amok? 
When an association has a board meeting, it is supposed to be posted 48 hrs. in advance, and for most meetings, any member of the association has the right to attend and speak at the meetings.
This is the story of one that has run...amok.
The association was once like family. if you needed something, it usually got taken care of. The president was fairly active in the community, the other officers did what was asked of them, meetings were fairly regular, about once a month or so. As President, he would be the delegate at assembly meetings and would normally post results and notes of the meeting on the bulletin board. (The vice president was removed from this position when he was asked about a vote at the assembly and he reported that his vote was secret as was the meetings, the pres. then took over as the delegate and left the VP as alternate). 
A newsletter was started to post information. The Treasurer handled the finances and had done so for almost ten years. The VP considered a little quirky by most but still had his role to fill. 
One of the things the President pursues is getting the association back on sound financial footing by looking for solutions to payments in arrears. 
One unit was behind quite a bit, so the Pres. gets in touch with the unit owner and suggests that the unit, sitting empty for years, be rented. The stipulation placed on it would be that the rent would be collected and payments for the association and WPRF made by the president with funds collected in from rent. The unit owner would receive nothing until the money in arrears was caught up. This was agreeable to the owner. Long story short, the unit eventually was paid up to date, the association is out of financial discord, everybody happy, right? No.   
The some of the association officers get together and conspire to replace the president by getting more people to run and spread rumors of wrong doing. They manage to leave one candidate off the ballot (a former pres.), put two others on that did not want to run, including one that has difficulty finding his own unit. All the while, the Secretary had quit without informing the other officers months before. Now the ballots come in and are received by this same secretary. When asked by other board members if she had received any ballots, she denies having them. On the day of the general election, ballots are suddenly brought in by the former secretary. many are taped shut with the same type of cellophane tape, making it look pretty suspicious. 
New officers, two old presidents not even on the board now. 
The norm has always been to have a board meeting following the meeting, to select officers, this was not done. A secret meeting is held to decide the officers a week or two later.
Let us revisit a few points before we got here.
One board member thinks himself a contractor, and charges $65 to put two screws into kitchen cabinets to tighten the doors, ruining the cabinets, and they are still loose. This person may in fact be a contractor of some type in his home state, but holds no license in the state of Florida.
The current Vice President is the former Secretary that had quit 4 or 5 months earlier without informing the rest of the board... when minutes of meetings were not presented, it became apparent. Now she is the VP and does absolutely nothing. In the absence of the President, she should take over...instead she is non-existent except in title alone. (Some people just need that. The new Pres. was like that as VP also).
The current Secretary, when asked for minutes to any meetings, suddenly gets his home "broken into" and the only thing missing is his minutes...this happens twice! Coincidence? I think not.
He claims his home was broken into a third time...nothing taken, but supposedly a dead gecko is left behind. Is this really happening? Who knows... but a suggestion would be to keep the door closed, lest a gecko come in and steal his TV or maybe even his minutes. Maybe they are the original perpetrators that broke into his place... It pays to be vigilant.
The current President is selling his unit but will not close until AFTER the next elections so he can vote instead of allowing the new owner to vote or get on the board (they have been long time renters in two other units in the building and aware of all that goes on).

Make Santa a Penguin??? What next???

I was watching The View this morning and shocked at the stupidity of "political correctness" in this country. The latest thing? Santa being white is bigoted. He should be a penguin. Oh come on... How stupid is that? Santa, is based on a real person, Saint Nicholas. He is the patron saint of children, sailors and many other things. Just a little background on Saint Nick (from the St. Nicholas Center)....

Saint Nicholas is said to be just about everyone's saint; he is surely named the patron saint of more causes than any other saint. Nicholas has been chosen as the special protector or guardian of a great many classes of people, cities, churches, and even countries.

Patron saints have lived a life which is a worthy example of how to faithfully follow Jesus Christ and, as part of the communion of saints, they intercede on behalf of those who call upon them.

In the West Nicholas is most widely known as the patron saint of children. Many of his stories tell of children rescued from calamity and returned to the care and keeping of their families. In France the most familiar story, both told and sung, is of three little children lured into the clutches of an evil butcher and rescued by St. Nicholas. Other stories, as well, tell of children who disappeared, were kidnaped, fell into a well, or suffered some other disaster-all to be delivered through the good offices of St. Nicholas. These accounts of a child forcibly taken from parents, followed by a time of grieving and despair, then the miraculous return of the child, have profound and universal appeal which makes Nicholas the much valued Guardian of Children. Sailors returning safely from sea, place these in gratitude to St. Nicholas for protection received. In some places sailors, instead of wishing one another luck, say, "May St. Nicholas hold the tiller."

Prisoners and others wrongly condemned are St. Nicholas' third major category of patronage. It reveals his strong concern for justice, especially for innocent victims. The stories of guiltless soldiers lives being spared and others wrongly imprisoned being released form the basis for this category.

St. Nicholas providing dowry money to the three impoverished maidens is the story behind his patronage for young women seeking a marriage partner. Even today young women who wish to get married still come to the Basilica di San Nicola in Bari, Italy, on the 6th of December to leave a note to St. Nicholas and put three coins in a box.

Rest In Peace

Yesterday, we lost Peter O'Toole at 81. Known for classics as Lawrence of Arabia and other great movies, and nominated multiple times for oscars, receiving only one for lifetime achievement.

The other was writer, director, actor, Tom Laughlin, 82. Best known for his Billy Jack movies.

 Not near the actor that O'Toole was, but his movie depicting a Native American Viet Nam Vet that fights for various causes, became a cult classic despite the horrible acting. One of the Billy Jack movies was a remake of Jimmy Stewart's Mr. Smith Goes To Washington, but Jimmy didn't go around beating up rapists

Olga the HYPOCRITE

Never ceasing to amaze, Olga has published her "list of bigots". Her Ignorance and hatred has really gone into overdrive. Just because she and Gary "sanction" every post on their blog, they assume that Israel has to sanction every post on his. They criticized me in the past for being against anonymus posters, yet here she is calling "concerned unit owner" of being a bigot and "chicken drek for remaining anonymus". So which way is it Olga? You are a Hypocrite. Your picture must be next to it's definition in the dictionary.

You call people on your list various names, including "ignoramus, chicken drek, trouble maker, fool, shameless chicken drek, coward, dimwit and bold liar". You accuse one of "trying to be a member of the IN crowd", another of putting "her two cents into everything" and another of "standing on a cliff not knowing which way to jump".

 Plain and simple...Olga, you are small. Very very small. I really do pity you, but I have pity for all dumb animals. 

Paul Walker Dies

Paul Walker, pictured on the left with Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez, star of Fast and Furious franchise movies, died in a car accident.

He is survived by a 15 year old daughter. He was 40.

You will be missed.
