Star Wars all over again...You must Turn to the Dark side.

Hell hath no Fury like a woman scorned. No truer words could be spoken. Since the people at the Reporter actually did nothing but complain about her demands for this and that, and finally tired of constant complaints and criticisms of everyone and everything that wasn't done her way and did what was long overdue. She was fired. No, she didn't resign, she was fired. The result?
Bettie Bleckman has turned to the dark side.

  1. Thank you for your opinion ( my being scorned ) however, as usual, you are "Off Course"....I have always expressed my opinion and will continue to as long as my MIND continues to function....Since I have no "Dark Side" there is NOTHING for me to turn to! There are issues on both sides of the isle that I support & other's I don't....for instance the initial French Canadian Column, which of course was not translated into ENGLISH, a so called PRIVLEDGE, we as ENGLISH/SPANISH/ITALIAN etc. AMERICAN people, would NOT BE ENTITLED TO, if the situation were reversed....THAT WAS MY BONE OF CONTENTION.... as well as the suggestion of eliminating the word G+D, from an article, submitted by one
new addition to the staff, which I as well as other's who too are no longer on staff, disagreed with...Shall I continue? I believe the Paper, should be "Unbiased"..reflect both Pro & Con...unfortunately, that does not exist...You did however, have one fact straight, I was "terminated" due to the above and still maintain my position. Wishing you well, and of course sweet Sadie, whom we all know brings much comfort to you........

  2. Betty, your comment that the paper should be unbiased is a true statement, however, since the malcontents and one of their leaders in particular came into the office demanding that their article (which was an article that could have been liable and sent someone to court) it would not be permitted and that particular person ranted and raved and threatened the editor, Joy Vestal and called her the "c" word. Joy rightfully refuses to print anything from this vile excuse of a woman until she gives a public apology. The same person that told me that I should have died in the war, then later denied having said it, although there were at least six witnesses to it. Joy Vestal probably the best thing to happen to the UCO REPORTER. She brings over 50 years of newspaper experience and combine with Myron Solomons years in the printing business you're looking at close to if not over 100 years of knowledge.
You had left the paper before and upon returning you wanted to displace someone else because you didn't like "the corner" desk assigned to you and as usual, the squeaky wheel got her oil. Let's call it what it is. You get pushy and must always have your way. Not everyone in the village will put up with it. On a personal note, I do believe you want what is best for the village as do I and as do many people here. Maybe someday we can all agree, or at least agree to disagree.

Feel free to say what you want, just try to be civil and sign your name. Say it, claim it, or I may delete it.
