Operations Committee Minutes    28 Sept 2021

1300- Meeting called to order, roll call. Minutes accepted as presented.

Monica Wells presents Financial Report.

Eva Rachesky discusses changes to guest passes, necessary changes needed at great expense to ADBI programming to be able to to 'ala carte' guest pass sales. Plastic vs. paper passes discussed.

Bob Rivera motions to change 1 week pass to $30 vice $35 and 2 week pass to $50 vice $70. Olga Wolkenstein 2nds. vote 2-12. Motion fails.

Eva shooting for Nov 1st to implement $5/day guest pass.

Abbey - Sept Entertainment Report. 536 total movie goers. Saturday Night Dances have been cancelled for renovations, Bands have been cancelled. 

Mgmt recommends Mask Mandate Policy in Theatre for live performances, but be aware, it will be difficult to enforce. Both Boca and Pembroke Pines have declined Mask Mandates.

Jackie Karlan makes motion for Mask mandate in clubhouse theatre. Patricia Caputo 2nds. 12-2, motion passes.

Vigorous discussion follows, No Police will be called by mgmt nor will they hire off duty police. Mask Mandate to go into affect in November.

Ed Grossman makes motion, Management will have discretion to enforce mask mandate. Jackie Karlan 2nds. 12-2, motion carries.

Dan Cruz - Hastings Locker Rooms, Raised next years budget price to $75,000 to include plastic lockers. (formalt $62,000).

Monica - Budget continuation  pg 2 of 8 line 29, Total Salary & wages, new hire for full time box office employee previously omitted. Added full time employee at $18/hr.

line 40 - chairs -removed budget for purchase of chairs. - motion made by Fausto to table purchase of chairs until 2023 budget,  Joyce 2nds.Motion is set aside as purchase of chairs is not in 2022 budget.

Discussion on Weir. To be sprayed then dredged at cost between $12-20k.  Currently there is an open end per diem for job. Line has $12k on assumption of three days work. If it comes in higher, Committee can vote to shift funds as necessary.

Pg.5 of 8 (top) Security- Request defined bill/pay rete. Platinum's proposal is $1.50 hr raise. UCO would like to see it passed entirely to the employee. $4.50 raise per hour questioned.. David I. suggests both crews (UCO and WPRF) be paid same rate. Meeting with Platinum will be on Oct 7th, discussion tabled at this time.

Pg. 8 of 8- $640k for Security $7.02 per unit/per month increase. Reserve amount is $7 per unit/mo. Budget is on pooled basis.

David I motions to lower reserve funding to $5 from $7. Patricia 2nds. 11-2 motion carries.

Olga motions With exception of Clubhouse and Hastings, only uniformed Security Guards be allowed to ask for IDs. Jackie 2nds. 4-8 motion fails.

Cameras in Party Room and kitchen. DSL bid $2514.50, Axis Masters bid $4892.  Bob Motions to accept DSLs bid of $2514.50 for cameras in Party room and kitchen. Patricia 2nds. 10-0-1 Motion Carries.

Duck Island appearance received Kudos.

Final WPRF Budget meeting scheduled for Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in Room C.
