Why did I not ask a question?

Simple, I was there to do a job. I went there to take photos, and I did not care for the overall tone of the meeting, so decided not to participate.
Nothing wrong with that.

Hey Dottie, not that you will matter anymore....

You say a $40k transfer was done and someone is implicating it was

being that this was done “in the dark” and “was probably illegal”

and

It was agreed by all present at that time that this was “surplus money” – earned by the staff of The Reporter and there was no objection to moving this sum to the General account in order to reduce payments from the unit owners.

that is fine, I can accept that. But what would like to know is a little sooner time wise. What about the transfer of $25k from Reporter funds on 6/18/13?
Where did that money go? Why?
As for your kind invitation... don't be surprised if I show up.
Guess your "friend" is tired of playing taxi, huh? What ever. as of March , it won't matter. Enjoy the "good life" at Cypress Lakes. I wish you well there.

Election day is coming fast...

Less than two weeks to go and in the next few days I expect the mudslinging to get really bad. Personally I am tired of hearing the lies and half truths. This election will accomplish one of two things, first, it will Hopefully have the right person to lead. One that has proven himself over and over. One with the proven knowledge, experience and leadership. Hopefully after it's over, his opponent will decide to serve in some other capacity. On a committee, maybe run for Executive board, V.P or president after gaining some experience.
the second thing hopefully will be to bring unity to the village. Granted, that is taking optimism to the extreme, but one can hope.
As for the others running for offices, I wish  them luck, some more than others. I hope the delegates have the sense to vote for the people that are looking to make this village a better place.

Camden Pool Gate

After many variations on the gate ate the Camden Pool, they finally have a gate that works well, that is until some jerk decides he doesn't like the way it opens and tries to break the gate. When approached as he is banging the gate trying to break it, he comes out with cussing and jerking off motions. REAL CLASS.
Hey tough guy, Break the gate, get the bill.
It took a long time to get the gates to work properly, various changes made until there was a good gate that will open out without damaging the gate from people opening it the wrong way. The gates are required by the state to keep people safe. mostly for little people otherwise known as children. If you break the gate, you take the chance of the state possibly coming in and closing the pool, and that would only inconvenience all the other residents. All because some idiot doesn't like the way the gate works. He's a suggestion, learn how to open and close a gate. If you aren't intelligent enough, ask a neighbor to give you a hand. Don't act like a lunatic trying to break it, and try acting like an adult, not some tough punk teen. That can only get you results you may not like.

Was I right, or what?

Well another Delegate Assembly is done and over with. The Tetro Issue was put to rest by President Israel after the committee recommended her dismissal. With only thirty days left to Tetro's term, it was pulled by the president discretion. Made sense on some levels as it showed that she is not eligible to be in office. Eligible or not, it didn't stop Olga from attempting to nominate Tetro from the floor. I must be getting psychic.
I knew Olga would be the one to pull a bonehead move like nominating someone that is not eligible after hearing the recommendation of the committee.
Just because Israel saved Tetro from the embarrassment of being discharged for bylaw violations, did not mean she was automatically able to run.
Olga's reading of an absent Tetro's statement mentioned that she had purchased a property in November. A partial truth... the fact is, she was placed on the title of her lovers property then REMOVED a month later in December. (This is all on the property appraisers website).
They must have realized their mistake and put her back on again in APRIL. Let's see, December, January, February, March, April...that's quite a long time to not be on the paper she claims qualified her for office, even if she didn't live there. Another thing that didn't get pointed out was that when she was put on in November, the mailing address was here in the village, but when taken off and put back on in April, the mailing address was now different. It was NOT in the village, but in Cypress Gardens.
LOOKS LIKE PROOF TO ME.
The poor misguided people that are following Olga and her cohorts really need to do some self examination.
Although technically the proceeding were dropped, it was not dropped until after the recommendation to dismiss was read into the record.
Do you really want to have these people running the village?
Olga wins...BONEHEAD of the Day Award. Congrats, a well deserved award.

A Lost Opportunity

The upcoming 5K run has lost a great opportunity to really make a difference, all thanks to a few closed minded people. I am speaking of an association that I am personally involved with that was originally invited to participate and was later asked not to.
I am Speaking of The Combat Veterans Association. We were originally asked to take lead on this run. Our groups mission is Vets Helping Vets. We will do various things like riding our motorcycles in support of Veterans causes. Raising money to help Vets and their families and providing assistance when needed.
A good example would be a vet we call Spence. He had a horrific accident vs. a semi. He was in a coma, awoke and when ready to go home, we assisted in making his home handicap accessible, assisted his family to put up Christmas decorations for his homecoming, got him a hospital bed and escorted his homecoming.
We are currently raising money to assist with his medical bills, gave him an electric wheelchair. The latter coming out of my own pocket.
In shunning this fine organization, the run lost out on as much as a thousand dollars in donations.
Shame to you closed and little minded people that didn't want motorcycles or as I heard it put, "a motorcycle gang" involved in such a good cause.
The Combat Veterans Association is a legitimate not for profit group of Veterans and their families that HELP Vets. I am disgusted at this and although I do not blame it's organizers nor WPRF, I have asked to be removed from the assignment of photographing and writing the story for the Reporter and was initially denied. The story has been reassigned now, and now I choose to completely boycott the event.
My apologies to it's organizers as this is not meant to be a reflection of their fine work, but for me, I choose to remain distant from the stupidity and prejudice of the naysayers. Good luck.
Spence's Homecoming 5-6 months after his accident just in time for Christmas.

Banned, not banned, banned, not banned...

Okay, here we go again...I feel like she pulls petals from a flower. Olga has banned me three times already, and yet she still publishes me once again. I guess the flower had another petal after all. Can't make up your minds? How's this Olga, stop censoring comments and publish what is written. Delete my comments if I call you and your friends what they really are, don't just let the comments by that you consider benign. You claim not to censor, but the fact is you do, otherwise why must posting have to wait for approval?
We know you plan on nominating Tetro from the floor. It's no secret. Fact is, she does not live in the village nine months of the year. It's common sense. I love her "I didn't know I would be purchasing..." comment.
She didn't know? Really!? She already owned the other property. She already lived there.
Maybe that is why she didn't know... duh!
Maybe you want someone that doesn't live here managing our money, I know I don't.
Why would she want to manage a seven million dollar budget for a place she doesn't live at and do it for free? hmmmm smells a little fishy fishy....
Ownership of a unit makes you a member of UCO, it does not automatically make you eligible to run for office, if that were the case, then these corporation trying to buy up units here become eligible to become Officers and where will we be then?
WAKE UP and smell the coffee. The sixties are over and done. and so are you.
